We prefer to accept files via e-mail (art@letterpressgraphics.com), but can accept files on CD or DVD in PC format only.
Stamping or Embossing Dies:
Preferred file format is Adobe Illustrator CS3 or Adobe Acrobat PDF.
When e-mailing large files, zip with WinZip.
All files should be at 100% and vector art.
Raster images scanned and saved as .tif in 100% black and white, 600 dpi minimum can be used, but are not recommended.
Do not include masks.
All objects should be filled with black (CMYK).
Convert all type to outlines. This eliminates the need to send fonts with your files.
Do not include compound paths.
Do not include on file any art not wanted on dies.
Steel Rule Dies:
All files should be at 100%.
Please send files for cutting dies as Adobe .eps format.
Remove all printed graphics from files for cutting dies.
Proofs:
We require either a PDF file or 100% laser (or inkjet) proofs of your file for us to compare our output against. We will not create dies from digital artwork unless such a comparison file/proof is provided. Please include on your proof your company name, contact name and phone number.
